Bring the useful
details together.
You know your home. Start there. This short worksheet helps organise what you want to discuss without needing technical answers.
01 / Where and what?
Start with your town or locality and the type of home. Give the room or area involved, then describe the issue or planned work in your own words. A full set of technical specifications is not needed to introduce your enquiry.
02 / What have you noticed?
For an existing issue, include when it began, whether it is constant or occasional, and what parts of the home are affected. For a planned change, explain what you want to achieve and what you expect to keep. Separate observations from any possible cause you have in mind.
03 / What information already exists?
Useful context might include a normal photograph, a product name, a simple layout or an existing drawing. Gather what you already have. Do not open equipment or remove finishes to prepare an email, and avoid sending documents containing unnecessary personal information.
04 / What should be discussed?
Include questions about the work, access, timing and coordination. If your project depends on other building work, mention that relationship. Mark uncertain details as unknown rather than estimating them as facts.
A good note leaves room
for the unknowns.
Include what exists
An equipment name, a normal photograph or an existing drawing may provide useful context. There is no need to create a technical survey before getting in touch.
Explain what could change
Describe the outcome you want, any layout changes and the timing you are considering. Say which decisions are still open.
Leave space for questions
Mark uncertain information as unknown. Ask what would need checking next rather than treating an estimate as an established fact.
Turn your topic into a starting note.
Pick any relevant topics. Edit the note below before opening your email application.
Your choices stay on this page. Opening email prepares a draft; you decide whether to send it.
Before you send
Read the draft, add any photographs in your email application and make sure your questions are clear. Nothing is sent from this page. You can copy the note if your device does not have a default email application, or use the dedicated enquiry desk for a subject and message you can edit separately.
